Our mission and vision

Presentation of the association

The Association des francophones du Nunavut (AFN), founded in 1981 to represent the francophones of Nunavut, is the outcome of successive groups of individuals that worked on implementing a vision: a strong, proud, open and dynamic francophone community.

Today, with its multifunctional community center (Franco-Centre), bimonthly newspaper (Le Nunavoix), community radio station (CFRT 107.3 FM), and especially thanks to unwavering support of countless volunteers, the AFN is a gathering point and an essential cultural and identity hub of life in French in Nunavut.
