Francization

In its desire to promote French in Nunavut and create a learning environment for people who want to learn French, the Association des francophones du Nunavut has set up a pilot project for a French as a second or additional language learning service for the community.

This service, the fruit of a local partnership and the result of growing interest in the community, promotes French as a second or additional language, and currently targets young people aged 4 to 18 attending local majority schools. Officially launched on April 1, 2022, the project ran for eight weeks, with an afternoon session every Wednesday at the Franco-Centre.
