Prix d'Excellence de la presse francophone

In September 2021, Le Nunavoix won its first national award at the annual Réseau.Press gala. The Award of Excellence for Community Article of the Year goes to “Arpenter sa cour arrière… en 14 jours”, written by our contributor of the past eight years, Simon Houle. Its second Award of Excellence, for Arts & Culture Article of the Year, was won in 2022.

Since Le Nunavoix went online, its reach has accelerated and its readership has grown. The prize, awarded by his peers, brings arctic communities to the attention of southern Canadian journalism.

Local journalism initiative

The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) is a Canadian Heritage-funded program designed to promote access to journalistic information in underserved communities across the country.

Réseau.Presse was mandated to strengthen local French-language coverage of civic issues in four major Canadian regions: the West, Ontario, the Atlantic and the Territories.
