Need a room for your events?

The Franco-Centre offers a community reservation service where you can turn your projects into reality! This human-scale venue is fully equipped with projectors, microphones, speakers and specialized lighting, allowing the room to be modulated on demand. The Franco-Centre can accommodate up to 70 people for events with alcohol and 100 without, and is suitable for weddings, conferences and other gatherings.

Confirmation

The room reservation is only confirmed when we receive the completed and signed contract.

Payment

All rental fees must be paid prior to the event, no later than 24 hours before use of the hall.
We have two (2) methods of payment, either by cheque payable to the Association des francophones du Nunavut (AFN) or in cash.

Room set-up

If you require access to the hall prior to the start of the event, please note that one (1) hour of set-up/decoration/equipment testing is included in the reservation price.

If you require access to audio-visual equipment, it is the responsibility of the hall lessor to TEST the various systems BEFORE the day of the event.

Bar/Door

If you require a cash bar, you must check this option and pay the bar fee. Bar and door staff will be provided by AFN (in accordance with Nunavut Liquor Control Board requirements).
NOTE: Depending on the size and type of event, if additional staff is required, an additional cost will be added to the final invoice.

*It is strictly forbidden to bring alcohol for consumption inside the Franco-Centre: a $500 fine will be charged for any infraction.

Material

The client (the individual or organization renting the room) will be held responsible for any broken or damaged equipment during the event. AFN reserves the right to invoice the customer for costs related to the repair or replacement of the equipment in question.

Cancellation policy

Any confirmed reservation may be canceled up to three (3) business days before the reservation date. If this deadline is not respected, 50% of the rental costs will be charged.

COVID-19

COVID-19 The tenant must ensure that it remains up to date and complies with all territorial orders in force (e.g. limits on the size of gatherings, respect for physical distancing, or the mandatory wearing of a mask/face covering) as well as the directives, by-laws and regulations of the City of Iqaluit.
In the event of violation of the health restrictions in force, the customer will be solely responsible for any fine.
